Venice Biennale
Liz ran a 4 day drawing workshop in the Central Pavilion with Sue Grayson Ford of The Campaign for Drawing to create an installation of Fabric Flying Countries as the UK’s contribution to ‘The Kids Carnivale’ @ Venice Biennale 2011. British Council’s aims were to encourage families to engage with contemporary art and to become familiar with la Biennale sites.
Children used everyday household objects impressed into coloured inks and linked together through drawing to recreate their city and its canals. They also made fabric prints of alien planets.
