News
Liz is now living in Newcastle, NSW
I am still awaiting our crate of furniture but in the meantime have been out drawing and exploring and uploading the images at Liz Anelli Sketchbooks
Ex-Votives
Liz has been working with Wellcome Trust Collection UK to produce a series of 3 illustrations based on stories submitted by visitors to their current exhibition Infinitas Gracias: Mexican miracle paintings
Here is the first - about a couple who struggled to conceive their first baby. It is an incredibly touching privilege to put into pictures some one else’s private affairs. Knowing so little about them means you bring your own experiences to the image-making process, which in turn makes it a very personal piece of work for me too.
Liz’s new links
Liz now has a place to share some of her drawings. Please take a look at Liz Anelli’s Sketchbooks:
National Stone Centre
Liz is loving making drawings of the rock extraction and tarmac-making processes at Dene Quarry near Matlock.
