About Me
I’m really glad you’ve come to this page so I can tell you a bit about myself.
My name is Liz Anelli and I am an author/illustrator and creative practitioner in schools.
I was born in Essex, England and have been scribbling away since I could first hold a pencil – in about 1967. I began by drawing endless tiny-scale scenes that only I understood, lying on the dining-room carpet. Now I generally sit at a desk (in my studio, at the bottom of my garden – right by the chicken pen) , up a tall tower, in a field or on the back of a bus, creating pictures for books, adverts, packaging and magazines. I am mad keen on collecting stuff – both seen and heard, from wherever I happen to be and have dozens of sketchbooks full of drawings, signs, tickets, ice cream wrappers, bus routes and jotted down bits of conversation.
I have another website wwwlizminichiello.co.uk but as my husband is also an illustrator I am now promoting my work under my maiden name of Anelli.
Please take a look around my site, and discover some of my illustrations for books, magazines, advertising and websites such as Wimbledon Driving School (you can browse the list of lesson plans)
